FAQs

Does the cover-up work on

dark skin?

A: Absolutely, the methodology neutralizes the color of the old tattoo, so whatever the skin tone, the results the same - amazing.

Will I need to retouch

the cover-up after it heals?

A: Some tattoos need an extra retouching after they heal, that depends on the old tattoo itself.

How sure can I be it will

work out fine?

A: Even though there are some limitations there is always a way to fix a tattoo, as long as expectations are aligned.

Do you use white ink?

A: The CoverD methodology does NOT use white ink color  for neutralization.

Do I need to laser remove

my tattoo first?

A: It is not necessary, but depending on each case it can better the result.

How does the procedure work?

A: You choose your new tattoo design, the artist shows you the project, if approved by you, the artist starts to execute the project right away.

Can I erase the tattoo with CoverD?

A: You cannot, the methodology is for coverings and renovations, to erase a tattoo we recommend laser.

Is there a  "best" design for the

 cover-up?

A: Here at Studio D, you choose the design for your cover, and the best design is a design that you really like or that represents you. What if  there was no tattoo to cover, what would you tattoo on your skin then? And this is the best design.

How many sessions will I need?

A: Usually only one, the new tattoo and neutralization is all in the same session, but depending on the size of the tattoo it may take more sessions.

What is the payment method?

Is it much more expensive than a regular tattoo?

A: Depends on the amount, but we accept payment  in installments up to 6x without interest or 12x with the machine fee, we also accept pix and cash.

A: It depends on your point of view, laser removal is much more expensive and time consuming, the coverage or renovation is cheaper and faster than that. The important thing is to be happy with your Tattoo

Can you cover a color tattoo with a black and white ink?

A: It is possible, yes. With our CoverD methodology we managed to neutralize the color of the Tattoo underneath, making it even possible to cover a dark Tattoo with colors which looks super beautiful.

Do you only attend in São Paulo?

A: Studio D is located in SP - Brooklin, but we do a nomadic studio called "Samu da Tattoo" that aims to serve everyone who needs coverage or renovation throughout Brazil, the schedule is in the highlights on our Instagram and also here on the site.
